Semi-sextile: the small aspect of neighboring signs
The semi-sextile is a 30 degree aspect. It connects neighboring signs. They stand side by side, but they speak different languages. There is no dramatic fight, but there can be a useful exchange of resources.
This aspect rarely becomes the main story of a chart. It works like a subtle hint: one function can help another if the person notices the small bridge between them.
Planet-to-planet example
Mercury in Gemini and Venus in Cancer: the mind is quick, curious, and contact-oriented; feeling is more cautious and warm. The semi-sextile helps the person translate emotions into words, as long as sensitivity is not dismissed as "too personal."
House-to-planet example
The second-house cusp semi-sextile Jupiter can give a small but useful resource: earnings may grow through study, mentors, foreign topics, or a generous network of contacts. The aspect does not promise wealth by itself, but it shows a little door.
By signs
Aries and Taurus learn to connect beginning and stabilization. Cancer and Leo connect care and self-expression. Capricorn and Aquarius connect system and renewal. The semi-sextile asks for a careful step into the next room of the chart.
