Secondary progressions
Secondary progressions are a symbolic forecasting method based on the day-for-a-year principle. They are useful for inner maturation and shifts in life phases.
How to read them in a chart
Progressions are useful only inside the whole chart. In astrology, everything is read through connections: a forecast is checked against the natal base, and a progressed chart shows which parts of the natal pattern are becoming active.
When you meet this term in a reading, ask three questions: which progressed planet is active, what natal point it touches, and what inner shift it describes.
Common mistake
A beginner mistake is to expect progressions to feel as loud as transits. Progressions often work quietly: through changed taste, readiness, emotional focus, and inner permission.
Use this definition as an entry point into the chart, not as the whole reading.
