Progressions: the language of inner maturation

Progressions do not describe the outer weather of the day. They show slow inner shifts in phases, interests, and ways of acting.

How progressions differ from transits

Transits often feel like external circumstances and current atmosphere. Progressions are closer to an inner biography: how wanting, feeling, choosing, and speaking change over time.

That makes progressions useful for life-stage questions, maturing decisions, changing interests, and long transitions.

What to look at first

The clearest factors are the progressed Moon, changes of sign or house, conjunctions to natal planets, and moments when progressed planets change phase.

Progressions should not be read apart from the natal chart. They show which part of the original pattern is becoming active now.

The progressed Moon

The progressed Moon is one of the most accessible tools for reading inner time. It shows where attention is now, which experience is emotionally maturing, and which area of life needs to be lived through.

A progressed Moon house change often feels like a change of focus. A person may not immediately understand why old themes lost their flavor and new ones became more attractive.

Why progressions are quiet

A transit can feel like an event, call, meeting, or pressure from circumstances. A progression usually works more quietly: taste, attitude, readiness, and inner permission change.

That is why progressions help with questions that cannot be solved in a day: where am I growing, why has an old role become too small, and what choice has already matured inside me?
